Maximilian Kolbe

Saint Maximilian Kolbe is the patron saint of addiction, prisoners, families, fathers and the pro-life movement. Maximilian, deeply devoted to Mary,  joined the Conventual Franciscans in Poland and received his doctorate in philosophy and theology. During WWII, he was sent to Auschwitz where he volunteered to take the place of a family man being put to death. Kolbe kept the other prisoners calm despite two weeks of dehydration and starvation right up to the point of freely offering his arm to a needle filled with carbonic acid. His feast day is August 14th. Buy a pendant or add on a chain to make it a necklace. Get St. Maximilian Kolbe medals in either sterling silver, gold-filled or 14kt solid gold all made in the USA and with lifetime guarantees.
