John Neumann
Saint John Neumann is the patron saint of Catholic education. John Neumann left Eastern Europe to become a priest in America where he did missionary work throughout and later became a Redemptorist and then Bishop of Philadelphia. As bishop, he was the first to organize a diocesan Catholic school system and increased its size and number of pupils immensely. His feast day is January 5th.
