Camillus de Lellis
Saint Camillus de Lellis is the patron saint of nurses, doctors, hospitals, the sick and gambling addicts. Camillus was addicted to gambling to the point that he lost everything and so he joined the Capuchin friary and later was ordained a priest. He founded his own congregation, the Ministers of the Sick (the Camellians), which dedicated themselves to the care of the sick, people infected with the plague and those dying in their own homes...they later formed the first military field hospital. His feast day is July 18th. Buy a pendant or add on a chain to make it a necklace.
